FolkAir is the marketplace that connects event suppliers and venues with organisers across the United Kingdom. Get discovered. Win bookings. Grow your business.
Where events take flight.
Is it free to join?
Yes. The Free plan is £0 a month — list, get discovered, configure your pricing, message buyers and run events at no monthly cost. The only cost is a single flat 12% commission on confirmed bookings, and you only pay it when you actually win a booking. No per-lead charges, no per-credit fees.
What does the Free plan include?
Everything that's operational today: marketplace listing and map / grid / list discovery, Companies House verification, the full pricing engine with instant buyer estimates, real-time 1:1 and threaded messaging, your service catalogue and add-ons, aggregated review display, EventOS with the floorplan editor, and a calendar preview. The flat 12% commission applies on the Free plan the same as on every paid plan — subscription buys tools and placement, never a lower rate.
How do payments work?
FolkAir does not process payments yet — you and your customer arrange payment directly, your way (bank transfer, your own invoice, your existing card link). You configure your own pricing and availability, and receive booking enquiries through your dashboard. Integrated payments via Stripe Connect are on the roadmap; until they ship we say so plainly rather than show a button that doesn't work yet.
Can I cancel my account at any time?
Absolutely. There are no lock-in contracts. Close your account whenever you like and export your data cleanly. No trial waiting to auto-bill, no penalty for leaving.
What types of suppliers can join?
FolkAir welcomes all UK event suppliers — DJs, bands, photographers, videographers, caterers, florists, decorators, entertainment acts, sound engineers, lighting specialists, event planners, and more. If you provide services for events, FolkAir is built for you.
What types of venues can list?
Any UK venue that hosts events — wedding venues, conference centres, banquet halls, hotels, outdoor spaces, village halls, community centres, rooftop bars, restaurants with private dining, and unique spaces like barns, castles, and galleries.
