Is it free to list my venue?
Listing is free on the Free tier (£0/mo) — no listing fee, no per-enquiry charge, no annual contract. You only pay a single flat 12% when a booking confirms, and that 12% is the same on every plan. Paid tiers (Growth, Business) add featured placement and deeper tools once billing goes live; they never buy a lower rate.
Can I take deposits or payments through FolkAir?
Not yet — and we won't pretend otherwise. Today FolkAir gets your venue found, verified, priced and talking to organisers. You arrange the booking and any deposit directly with the organiser for now. Integrated payments via Stripe Connect are on the roadmap, and we'll say so on this page until they actually ship. We'd rather lose a click than fake a feature.
How do you verify venues?
Three layers. You claim your venue, your business is checked against the UK register through Companies House, and identity runs through a KYC wizard. Organisers see a verification badge on your profile before they ever send an enquiry — the assurance most directories can't offer.
Will my enquiries go to competing venues?
No. An organiser enquiry comes to you, not to your five nearest rivals in one click. The conversation lives in a real-time inbox you control, with the booking context attached. No blast, no race to reply first.
How is the pricing on my profile worked out?
You configure it. Set base rates, seasonal and day-part rate plans, area pricing and blockouts, with a calendar preview. From that, organisers get an accurate instant estimate the moment they land on your profile — instead of a vague "POA" that wastes everyone's time.
Is there a lock-in or annual contract?
No lock-in. List free, pay the flat 12% only when a booking confirms, cancel anytime, export your data cleanly. We earn the next month or we don't — the opposite of the annual-renewal-hike playbook.
Is FolkAir UK-only?
Yes — by design. GBP-priced, Companies House-integrated, built for UK venues and UK organisers. We'll cross water once the UK product is right.
